Happy Thanksgiving

I thank God for my wonderful and loving family.  There is so much to be thankful for.  I love each of you very much!

Depressing

Anyone else as bummed about the election as we are?   : (

K of C Dinner and dance

Mom and I met up with Lori and Randy Weeda and attended the K of C Italian dinner and dance last night.  We had a good time with friends, but we wished the music was at least a decade and a half newer.  Our parents would have enjoyed dancing to the Glen Miller tunes. We were able to dance to a half dozen tunes..that is good. Fun with friends, good food, the wine was just okay.

Happy Anniversary!

Short trip

Dad & I meeting up with Tom & Mary Jane in Hinton WV next Wednesday.  We rented two cabins for Wed. & Thursday nights.  Should be fun.  Wonder if the snow will be gone by then?? They have a old wash stand they no longer want and are giving it to me.  YEAH!  Now I just have to figure out where to put it :)   We'll be back sometime on Friday.

Sandy the Superstorm

I guess everyone is okay from the storm.  Sure glad we didn't get what they were predicting for our area.  We hardly had any branches down out of our trees.

Presidential Debate

Okay, you all know I am not one for talking about current events much, but ever since Pres. BO got into office 4 yrs. ago I've been paying very close attention to the actions of our government.  I hope you all got a chance to watch the debate last night.  Based on what I heard and saw, there is really only one candidate motivated enough and capable of taking on the challenge of putting us back on the right track.  We need significant government reform to address so many issues that have been compounding over the years and it starts by getting our debt under control.  Just bringing in more revenue from those who make money and create jobs isn't going to fix our SPENDING which is the primary cause of the high debt.  I think I am more conservative than Romney, but I'm willing to accept versions of what I believe we need to do to get bi-partisan support towards a smaller government and I think Romney has a better chance of doing that in office than BO.  SUPPORT ROMNEY....Talk to your friends who are undecided and help them see the light!!!
