An Apple decision...

What to do, what to do!  We can upgrade our phones next month. We were thinking about going with the Apple 4S, but the 5 is very alluring...what to do, what to do.

Back to life, back to reality...

Hello all! Just thought I would check in, life is back to normal here in NC. School has started, Josh is playing soccer, and my understanding is football starts tonight.  School is going great! The students are good (so far), I'm loving my SmartBoard in my classroom, makes teaching so much easier, and I've been able to control the work load and get home fairly early.  Soccer is going well for Josh, I just wish he didn't have games at 9:45 pm so that I could go and he didn't get home so late. As far as football, that means that my husband might go missing for a little while, but I know he'll come back soon! Haha! =) I hope all of you are doing well and we look forward to seeing everyone the last weekend in September!  

iMac Memory Upgrade

I bumped our iMac memory from 4 gig to 12 gig, I added two 4 gig chip sets.  I ordered Samsung memory because that is what Apple uses.  Ordered it through Amazon on Sunday, arrived today from California and installed in less than 10 minutes.  I priced the memory through Apple; they wanted $200.  The price I paid through Amazon including shipping was $65.48.  Why did I bump the memory?  Apple came out two weeks ago with a new operating system called Mountain Lion (we have Lion). My research told me it is a memory hog, so before I upgrade I felt I needed to beef up the computer.  By the way I could have bought cheaper memory, but I decided to keep it  OEM.

Growing up

Thought I would share our version of a rainbow.  Regan has taken another big girl step.  She worked real hard on this one!

Beach bound!

After a stressful week waiting for the phone call about Josh's new job, an awesome night with friends at the Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean concert (pics on FB), and an exhausting weekend helping my parents move into their new home, we are beach bound, Wrightsville Beach that is, for 2 days! Josh starts new job on Wednesday. Have a great week everyone!

Good Morning

Dad and I are off to church this morning to build tables for Caritas.  This will be interesting since I've never built anything like this before, nor am I tool savy... LOL  The tables are kits so it's just a matter of piecing the puzzle together.  RIGHT!  Good thing dad will be there.

Did anyone watch the opening of the Olympics last night?  What did you think?  We turned it off.

VBS & Job Interviews

Josh and I had another busy week. Vacation Bible School was a huge success. We decorated the main stage (ie, the plane), I worked each day in the kitchen, preparing meals & desserts for the workers, and we did crafts for the week with about 60-75 kids each night. The week ended with a hotdog cookout, ice cream social, and the kids performed the songs they learned during the week. Josh and I were excellent ice cream scoopers. Josh and I are happy to announce that we are officially members of our church. I transferred my membership from my old church and Josh became an associate member, so that he can still be an active member of his home church. We are proud to be official members of our church family and everyone was thrilled that we joined. It was very important to us that we join together, but Josh still belong to the Catholic church. Josh has also been busy this week along with managing work and vacation bible school, he had 2 interviews for a new job. He has a 3rd interview with the owner of the company on Monday at noon. We are very hopeful and praying for great news! Updates to come tomorrow!

Topsail Beach

We are at the Breezeway room 212. Weather is great just trying to decide whether to go to the pool or beach. Since it is about four probably go to the pool. The pool is why we like Breezeway. 910-328-7751 is the hotel phone number, if you can't get our cells.
